CLAPHAM THE WINSTANLEY AND YORK ROAD IS A RESIDENTIAL SCHEME
The Winstanley and York Road will provide more social and affordable housing. On top of this, a new park with greater accessibility for all residents is at the heart of the scheme.
Block 5 is the first building delivered under the Scheme. This residential development consists of 126 residential units and 1 commercial unit. Block 5A comprises 65 new one, two and three bedrooms units in a 13-storey building and includes a ground floor retail unit. Block 5B & 5C comprise 71 units in a 6 and 12-storey building.
The development is located in the northwest corner of the existing York Gardens and is bounded to the north by Fairchild Close, to the west by York Road and to the east and south by the existing York Gardens Park and children’s playground.
The masterplan replaces all existing council-rented homes as well as provides new affordable housing including additional social rent, shared equity for all existing resident leaseholders, new affordable rent homes as well as low-cost home ownership options surrounding a new park and leisure building for the use of the wider community.
Our scope of work included ground remediation, pile matt installation, piling attendance, installation of site access roads, site drainage, basement construction including ground support temporary propping and construction of 3 pt concrete frame blocks rising to 15 storeys.
